With over 18 years of international design experience spanning across countries in Europe, Middle East and Asia; Sharon Jutla’s creative imagination took fancy for buildings and architecture, early on. Her dynamic and creative approach to her chosen profession symbolises a new breed of entrepreneurial career woman thriving in a traditionally male-dominated architectural world. She has also established her impeccable credentials as an award-winning designer, who strives for nothing else than excellence. Having worked with world-leading clients to include sectors like hospitality, commercial, luxury residential, retail, lifestyle and leisure, mixed use, transport and sports; she has extensive experience on a variety of high profile projects.
Sharon’s expertise lies in strategic planning, conceptual design and the development stages of projects with specialist knowledge in hospitality, residential and retail design. She has a unique understanding of interior projects from cultural and geographic considerations to financial and programme requirements. Her strength lies in an objective approach to every project that helps her in providing high level of service to reflect the qualities, values and aspirations of her clients.
Being experienced in the areas of quality control, client liaison as well as team management, Sharon also works closely with production teams and various suppliers to ensure workable design solutions. She is committed to design excellence and believes in a highly consultative design approach.
With a Master’s Degree in Interior Design, the young UK-born architect has been creating an impression at five of the top ten international architectural practices across the world. High profile projects featuring her interior design and architectural flair and expertise include Moscow Airport, White City Shopping Centre, Ferrari World, Manchester United, Barcelona, Edgbaston stadium, Gabal, Chelsea, Dubai Sports City, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Library and Wyndham hotel Qatar, Hard Rock Hotel, Dubai and TDIC Saadiyat Cultural District Abu Dhabi; to name a few.
Though she has travelled extensively across the globe in her professional capacity, regularly visiting India, Italy, Netherlands, Brazil, America, China, Australia, Sweden and Russia; it is Dubai that truly inspires her entrepreneurial zest and spiritual imagination – where she says design dreams come true. Sharon has been working in the Middle East for 14 years and counting.
Sharon loves to travel to learn about countries, the people and what they love about design. Her work is inspired by culture, history, fashion and the story the client is looking to tell. She regularly blogs about her designs stories and inspirations to give tips and advice on basically how to use a directory of information on her design blog JusGlue.
When she is not designing award-winning spaces, Sharon loves to indulge herself in reading, photography and swimming or getting on a plane and going somewhere. “If I’m at home, I like relaxing over lazy lunches with friends and family or retreating to spa.”
