Recognitions included Rumana Vakil, Leanne Menezes, Alina Vakil and Rea Dsouza’s first place win at the UBF Financial Literacy Competition in January 2017 and Ink Club member Yannik Perera’s first place win at the Sci-Fi Dubai Science Fiction Writing Competition in October 2016. Leanne D’Souza participated in the prestigious Caltech Hackathon in California. Rachel Simmons won the first place in the Management Category at the 5th Annual UG Research Competition at Abu Dhabi University.
According to Middlesex University Dubai Director, Dr Cedwyn Fernandes, these student successes are testament not only to each student’s hard work, but also the opportunities provided through the University’s programmes, courses and academic clubs.
“At Middlesex University Dubai, we are committed to meeting the needs and ambitions of our culturally and internationally diverse student body and are extremely proud of their achievements, both inside and outside the classroom,” said Dr. Fernandes. “Not only do we offer a range of programmes to set our students up for professional success, we also offer a number of extracurricular activities, giving our students the opportunity to pursue their passions and excel regardless of whether it is in pursuit of professional success, or in recognition of their personal passions. We look forward to celebrating the achievements of our students during the 2017/18 academic year.”Email This Post
