Ducab, the UAE-based leading manufacturer of high-quality cables and cabling products, is launching a new beautification and sustainability program within its workers’ accommodations in Jebel Ali under the banner of the recently announced “Day for Dubai” initiative.
The program comes in response to the “Day for Dubai” initiative, which has been launched to strengthen the role and concept of social responsibility among individuals, led by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council, and In line with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai.
The new volunteer program will see Ducab employees cultivate trees and local vegetable gardens within their staff accommodations, increasing the overall green space within Jebel Ali. Groups of employees are being given individual areas of 35 m2 and are being provided with knowledge and agriculture equipment, while a dedicated team of volunteers will be monitoring the progress of the program and overseeing distribution of the resulting produce.
