Tristar Group’s global network across 18 countries, celebrated World Environment Day today with simultaneous town hall gatherings. In Dubai, where the head office is located, Tristar Group CEO, Eugene Mayne, encouraged all staff to support this year’s theme of ‘Beat Plastic Pollution’ by refusing items that cannot be reused.
Mayne reiterated the company’s support to Paris Climate Summit of 2015 ‘to limit the rise in average global temperature to well below 2°C, with 1.5°C being the ideal benchmark.’
During the Dubai event, color sketches submitted by children of Tristar staff worldwide were displayed. The sketches depicted how to protect the environment and conserve natural resources.
“This initiative will make young children aware of environmental issues,” said Mayne.
Tristar has operations in the GCC, Africa, Asia, Central America and the Pacific island of Guam. The company is a recipient of numerous CSR awards both locally and regionally.Email This Post
