Swoo, the leading global livestreaming platform with more than 1.6 million installs, unveiled today the first-week winner of its month-long contest “Swooperstar Voyage”.
Swoo is the first Emirati based live streaming application used by celebrities, influencers, leaders and experts to connect with audiences from across the globe. It was developed by Algorythma, the technology arm of the Abu Dhabi Financial Group.
Within six months of its launch, Swoo has amassed tremendous of users, with a dominant user base from South Asia and the MENA region. It currently has 1.6 million installs and is slated to cross 2 million within this month.
The “Swooperstar Voyage” took off on 1st of February 2018. The award is presented to the winner with the most viewed broadcast among the top 20 broadcasts displayed on the Leader Board on Swoo application. Each entry was judged based on viewing rates. The lucky winner receives 3 nights stay at The H Resort in Seychelles, as well as return tickets for two persons from the country of origin.

The Swoo competition saw users and broadcasters from the Sub-continent and the MENA region who are interested in outdoor leisure, hiking, travelling and trekking activities, compete for the best live broadcast.
Swoo gave broadcasters from all over the world the opportunity to showcase exciting, fun live videos of their leisure outdoor activities, or during their travels, or exploration of the city on ESCAPE channel or with Hashtag #Voyage, doubled with a chance to win the amazing prize.
Every week, the top broadcasts with maximum views will be shortlisted to appear on the Leader Board within the Swoo application. Once that first round is finished, the winner of the weekly contest will be the most viewed broadcast at the end of every week. Weekly awards consist of 3 nights stay at a 5 stars’ hotel in Seychelles, Dubai, Rabat or London as well as return tickets for two persons from the country of origin.
