The Sustainable City International Horse Jumping Championship 2019 to welcome riders from 20 countries

  • World-class riders and breath-taking horses to compete at the event from Feb. 13 to 16, 2019 at The Sustainable City, Dubai

The Sustainable City, the Middle East’s first fully-operational sustainable community, and The Sustainable City Equestrian Club will host riders from over 20 countries including the GCC region, Europe, Canada and USA for the first edition of  ‘The Sustainable City International Horse Jumping Competition (CS12), from February 13 to 16, 2019.

Several world-class riders and breath-taking horses will captivate visitors at the event that also features The Sustainable City Grand Prix including competitions in seven classes. The event builds on the success of a show jumping competition that The Sustainable City had hosted last year. Now, a full-fledged championship, this year, the event will see riders on their magnificent steeds competing to clear jumps up to 145 cm.

The championship is open to all visitors, and to delight them, an exciting calendar of activities is being lined up for all four days. There will be thrilling K9 Dog Show stunts by Dubai Police, a live DJ, children’s activities such as pony rides, bouncy castles and face-painting stations, and the Origin market that will showcase handcrafted, ethical, eco-friendly and sustainable products.

There will also be beauty demos, and a best dress competition open for all visitors on Friday. In addition are yoga and fitness sessions, horse trick shows, and a free raffle draw to win attractive prizes. Several equestrian and pet supply vendors will take part throughout the event in addition to a pop-up market on Friday. Pet lovers can adopt pets at the Pet Adoption Day. Assuring a memorable day out, the event promises something for everyone.

ZOOM and Fairgreen partnered with Diamond Developers on the event as part of adding value to the community-oriented initiative.

Starting on Wednesday, Feb. 13, 3 PM, the competitions will continue Feb. 14, with two rounds at 3.30 and 6.30 PM, and on Friday, Feb. 15, from 8 AM with the Grand Prix to be held at 2.30 PM. On Saturday, the event concludes with the last round from 12.30 and the closing gala from 4 PM.
