The Ministry of Health and Prevention has ordered the expansion of the Physiotherapy and Sport Medical Center located at Al Jazirah Al Hamra in Ras Al Khaimah, which helps to ensure that the center is able to meet the growing demand for its services and to provide the optimal physical therapy services to the residents of the emirate and the surrounding areas.
The ministry will also provide the latest medical equipment for physiotherapy services to the center, which contributes to enhancing the level of health care that is offered and providing the best services to senior citizens, children, athletes, people with determination, and others.
The announcements occurred during a recent field visit carried out by HE Dr. Mohammad Salim Al Olama, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health and Prevention, to the Physiotherapy and Sport Medical Center in Ras Al Khaimah, where he was accompanied by HE Dr. Yousif Al Serkal, Assistant Undersecretary for Hospitals Sector.
HE Dr. Mohammad Salim Al Olama, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health and Prevention, stated that the ministry is keen to offer the best health care services to both citizens and residents, apply the best global standards and protocols, provide the latest medical supplies and equipment to various medical departments in health institutions all across the country, and find innovative solutions that meet the growing health care needs of residents.
Dr. Al Olama toured the Artificial Intelligence therapy room that uses Virtual Reality Technology to help provide treatment, and he recommended both the introduction of some advanced equipment and the expansion of some of the center’s departments, such as the children’s department in order to accommodate more patients from this age group. He called on the medical staff of the center to double their efforts in order to implement the ministry’s vision of building an effective and innovative health care system that ensures a happy and healthy society.
The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health and Prevention, who was accompanied visited a variety of departments at the center. He reviewed the diagnostic and treatment services offered to patients, and the modern therapeutic methods and practices in this field. He also visited the various specialized rehabilitation departments and examined the various health care services offered to patients. He stressed that the ministry will continue to implement its strategy to develop its health institutions in accordance to the best international standards.
Dr. Al Olama stressed the importance of the center’s role in supporting patients such as the elderly. He pointed out that physical therapy is becoming increasingly important and is a major factor in enhancing the health of patients, especially in cases that require careful continuous long-term treatment, such as fractures and various injuries.
The Physiotherapy and Sport Medical Center located at Al Jazirah Al Hamra in Ras Al Khaimah has witnessed a growing number of patients who have found positive and effective treatment for many of their ailments that have not been effectively treated through surgical or pharmacological treatments.
The center welcomes patients with various types of diseases from a variety of different age groups. The center provides the elderly with treatment for pain that occurs in bones, knees, joints, nerves, disc, and cartilage, as well as treatment for Rheumatoid Arthritis. The center offers treatment for children with Cerebral Palsy, Paraplegia, Quadriplegia, or Facial Paralysis. The center also welcomes and treats a large number of athletes.
