MAK Holding pledges 50,000 meals for the World’s Tallest Donation Box

MAK Holding pledged 50,000 meals for the World’s Tallest Donation Box, lighting up 50,000 pixels on Burj Khalifa in support for Covid-19-hit communities.

MAK Holding’s Dh500,000 million donation contributes to illuminating Burj Khalifa’s 1.2 million lights to secure 1.2 million meals and food parcels for the ’10 million meals’ campaign that supports individuals and families affected by the Covid-19 pandemic during Ramadan.

Launched on Saturday, the World’s Tallest Donation Box enables companies, entities and the public to purchase lights of Burj Khalifa, for as little as Dh10 each. For every light purchased for Dh10 through the website www.tallestdonationbox.com, one meal is provided to someone in need.

In a statement, MAK Holding spokesperson said, “We are proud to support the humanitarian initiative’s noble goals and global mission of inspiring solidarity. The UAE’s secures a nurturing environment for businesses, which, in return, must fulfill corporate social responsibility, especially at this critical time.”

Under the supervision of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI) and the Social Solidarity Fund Against Covid-19, meals and food parcels are delivered in a logistical distribution network developed in collaboration with partnering entities to reach beneficiaries across the country.
