Urbano, Vita and representatives from KidZania Kuwait, the exciting kid-sized metropolis, recently visited Bayt Abdullah Children’s Hospice (BACCH) to bring a smile on the faces of children and their families. The visit was part of KidZania Kuwait’s ongoing commitment to contribute to the welfare of the community and to reinforce their belief of compassion and spreading joy to aid healing,
During the visit, KidZania presented the management with complementary tickets for the kids to visit the park and enjoy the fun the facility has to offer. They also discussed opportunities and future collaborations to benefit the kids though KidZania’s participation in BACCH’s activities within the hospice.
Vice President of Leisure and Entertainment Department at Alshaya Group, Fernando Medroa, said: “We at KidZania are very happy to create a positive difference in our local community and support social welfare. This initiative falls under our corporate social responsibility framework giving importance to valuable engagement and supporting community causes. We look forward to welcoming the children from BACCH along with their families.”
Nicole Kym Zina, Certified Life Specialist at BACCH expressed her gratitude for the support and the opportunity given to the BACCH families. She also thanked KidZania and mentioned that she is looking forward for future initiatives to be implemented in the pipeline to further support BACCH activities.
BACCH is a non-profit organization providing multi-professional, specialist, pediatric palliative care and support to children with life limiting or life-threatening illnesses who are resident in Kuwait, and their families. BACCH offers specialist symptom management, medically supported ‘respite’ care, home care, rehabilitation services and play activities as well as psychological and practical support for the whole family.
