In recognition of their efforts in the success of the events, initiatives and campaigns held this year, The Health Education Department of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs in Sharjah honored the representatives of more than 60 entities from public and private sectors.
The event was attended by HE Iman Rashid Saif, Director of Health Education Department, Heads of the four health supporting associations of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs, Breastfeeding Friends Association, Friends for Diabetes Association, Friends of Arthritis Patients, Friends of Kidney Patients Association, and a number of female employees and volunteers in these associations, as well as officials of the constituencies
HE Iman Rashid Saif thanked the partners for their continuous support and efforts that has enabled the Health Education Department to accomplish outstanding achievements and enhance its success in expanding and developing its services, awareness and education initiatives, in order to achieve the vision of improving the health-related-behaviour of all members of society in the Emirate of Sharjah.
HE Saif said that since the launch of the Health Education Department by Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher Bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah and Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs, we are working with the generous support of Her Highness, the efforts our employees and volunteers, and our partners to encourage citizens and residents of Sharjah to adopt healthy lifestyles, while supporting patients who are unable to afford treatment.
She added that raising awareness and spreading public health education always requires sophisticated partnerships that keep track with the growth of the society, increasing the number of its members, the diversity of its nationalities and cultures, as well as the development of innovative means to educate individuals of all ages and interests, with the goal we seek to accomplish in order to maintain their health and safety from all diseases.
Saif also pointed out that because of the efforts and generous contributions of the partners, the Health Education Department has achieved many goals that emphasized the spirit of the community solidarity and reflected the importance of solidarity in the fields of charity and giving. The Emirate of Sharjah and the UAE remain an oasis, that is full of love and goodness for everyone that lives in it.
HE Iman Rashid Saif honored the partners and distributed certificates at the end of the ceremony, wishing them success in serving the UAE community.
The attendees were shown a short film about the achievements of the Health Education Department since its establishment in 2010, its efforts to promote health awareness among all members in the community and supporting patients who are unable to afford treatment.Email This Post
