DUBAI COLLEGE OF TOURISM TO HOLD OPEN DAYS FOR PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS

  • Open days will be held on Saturday afternoons over the summer
  • Parents and prospective students will learn about DCT’s vocational education courses and meet the college’s staff and current students.

Dubai College of Tourism (DCT), part of Dubai’s Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (Dubai Tourism), is holding a series of open days over the summer months to introduce prospective students to the college’s innovative programme of Vocational Training, ahead of the start of DCT’s September courses. The open days will take place every Saturday, running from 2:00pm to 5:30pm.

At the open days, prospective students and their parents will discover what studying at DCT is really like, and how a qualification from the college can help young people forge an exciting and sustainable career in Dubai’s booming tourism industry.  Attendees will find out about the various courses at DCT, as well as learning about the college’s teaching philosophy and focus on vocational education.

In addition, there will be an introduction to the college’s facilities, and the opportunity to chat with DCT’s academic team. For those who cannot attend the Saturday open days, the college is also offering the option of personal tours and briefing sessions to students and parents, to take place at a convenient time of their choosing.

The courses offered by Dubai College of Tourism have been designed to bridge the gap between in-house training and a university degree. The practical and flexible vocational courses are focused around five core faculties – Tourism, Events, Hospitality, Retail and Culinary Arts – and have been designed to help young people to learn various trade and soft skills from established professionals in Dubai’s tourism and hospitality industries.
