• The iconic resort celebrates Chocolate Week with Dubai’s debut chocolate World Record attempt and innovative menus including Chocolate Pizza, Dark Choco Dim Sum and Chocolate inspired Afternoon Tea

A Willy Wonka style chocolate paradise awaits guests at Atlantis, The Palm this Chocolate week, as the world-famous resort begins its World Record attempt to create the largest Chocolate sculpture in the word. In addition, delicious chocolate inspired set menus will feature at nine of its eateries from 17th to 24th April.

WORLD RECORD ATTEMPT  The 17th April will mark the start of Atlantis’ journey to build the largest chocolate sculpture ever created which will take the form of The Royal Atlantis, the newest Kerzner property to open on The Palm in 2019. With the sculpture set to be revealed in October 2017, April’s Chocolate Week will see the launch of this world record attempt with Atlantis chocolate sculptors live carving huge blocks of Patchi Chocolate in preparation for the enormous sculpture.  Taking place daily and located at the Poseidon Café in front of The Ambassador Lagoon, there will also be a chocolate river on display, as well as a miniature chocolate replica of The Royal Atlantis design.

CHOCOLATE MENU’S Chocoholics can delight in bespoke chocolate menus at nine restaurants at Atlantis, The Palm that will feature a variety of innovative chocolate infused dishes, playful chocolate desserts and creative chocolate cocktails. The restaurants include Bread Street Kitchen & Bar, Ronda Locatelli, Ossiano, YUAN, Plato’s, Seafire, Nasimi Beach, Kaleidoscope and Saffron.

Bread Street Kitchen & Bar puts a chocolatey twist on its family friendly, modern British menu with dishes such as Chocolate Eton Mess, Chocolate Trifle, Chocolate Ice Cream Sundae, Chocolate Cambridge Burnt Cream with Blood Orange Ice Cream, and finally the traditional British Chocolate Bread and Butter Pudding – all at AED 45 each. Exclusively for Chocolate Week, Bread Street Kitchen & Bar presents its special chocolate cocktail, Molly Bloom.

Innovative chocolate Italian dishes await diners at Ronda Locatelli including the inventive Nutella, Almond Flakes and Coconut Pizza for AED 35, which the little ones will be sure to enjoy. Other dishes include Risotto with Duck Ragout and Chocolate shavings for AED 115, Baby Spinach, Smoked Ricotta Cheese, Hazelnut and Chocolate shavings for AED 75, and finally Braised Beef Cheek with Chocolate and Sour Vegetables for AED 130.

Ossiano, the spell binding underwater restaurant reveals its unique Chocolate Afternoon Tea for AED 785 for one week only on Saturday 22nd April. The Special Chocolate Afternoon Tea created by award winning Chef de Cuisine, Gregoire Berger will feature five courses from canapes to desserts infused with the finest, French chocolate.  

YUAN, one of Dubai’s top Chinese restaurants brings an Asian feel with a one-off Chocolate Dim Sum menu. Executive Chef David Pang has created Crisp Prawn with Dark Chocolate Sauce for AED 90, Mushroom Salad with White Chocolate Dressing for AED 70, Wok Fried Beef with Weiss Chocolate and Black Pepper for AED150, Bitter White Chocolate Buns with Walnut for AED 40, and finally Baked Bun in White Chocolate with Almond Flakes for AED 40. The talented barmen have also created the Black Dragon Cocktail presented in a high ball garnished with dehydrated Yuzu.

Seafire Steakhouse and Bar introduces a spin on its newly launched Freak Shake, the Chocolate Freak Shake with specials for Chocolate Week from white, milk and dark chocolate at AED 65 each. The Seafire Chocolate Fondant Molten Chocolate Cake Toasted Marshmallow and Vanilla Ice Cream desert is sure to be a showstopper. Other chocolate delights include the Skillet Banana Sticky Toffee Chocolate Pudding, Caramelized Bananas, White Chocolate Sorbet, and the Chocolate Fudge Fondue, American Cookie, Seasonal Berries and Marshmallows; each for AED 50. A beverage specially created for Chocolate Week is Angle of Artemisa finished off with crystalised orange and chocolate shavings with a red edible flower.

Iconic beach club Nasimi Beach mixes things up with a Chocolate Ice Cream Burger for AED 40, a Chocolate Pizza for AED 70 which is ideal for sharing for two people, and a Chocolate Fondue for AED 40.

Plato’s, the stunning café just off the main lobby at Atlantis, The Palm is dedicating its beautiful patisserie displays with chocolate only deserts to be enjoyed for AED 30 each, with a signature hot and cold chocolate drinks selection. If you’re looking to truly indulge, their afternoon tea will not disappoint with a selection of chocolate delights for AED 150.

Kaleidoscope will showcase a jaw dropping display of delicious sweets, with its chocolate fondue, 100% Chocolate Menu, chocolate display, giant chocolate dipped in strawberry tower, chocolate sculpture display and live chocolate station. All this chocolate amazement and the buffet for AED 200.

At Saffron, diners will find dishes from appetizers to main courses full of chocolate, as well as being amazed by the full pastry display using only chocolate for deserts. Guests can wander around the cold chocolate drinks station, chocolate truffle station, chocolate fountain, and have the chance to attend the chocolate tasting school station all for AED 235.
