Abdul Rahman bin Mohammad bin Nasser Al Owais, Minister of Health and Prevention, has stressed that Emirati martyrs will remain firmly imprinted in the memory of the UAE people, being a source of pride, glory and honour for every Emirati.
Speaking on the occasion of the Commemoration Day, which falls on December 1 of every year, the minister said: “Today marks a glorious national occasion to commemorate the sacrifices and heroism of Emirati martyrs, who laid down their lives in the line of duty. Our martyrs will always serve as a guiding light for coming generations and will forever exemplify what it means to be loyal and courageous. They have been an exceptional and true model of bravery and sacrifice for the sake of the principles and values instilled by the late founding father Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
On this red-letter day, we remember and pay rich tribute to our martyrs, who are an inexhaustible source of pride, dignity and honour for the nation. Those men have made the ultimate sacrifice to protect our homeland, under the wise leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
As we remember those great men, who lost their lives to keep aloft the flag of the nation, we reaffirm our strong determination and resolve to continue what they have started. Their heroic deeds surely stimulate our solidarity and loyalty to our wise leadership. We are all “soldiers” for this nation, faithfully and honestly performing our duties, each of us according to their respective positions.
On this momentous day, we renew our pledge to follow in the footsteps of the nation’s martyrs and do our utmost to preserve our country’s achievements and gains. We will carry out our national duties in complete honesty and sincerity to advance the country’s development progress, according to the vision of our prudent leadership, which spares no effort to ensure a prosperous, safe, stable, and happy future for all its people and generations to come”.Email This Post
