ŠKODA is the official Race Automotive Partner of the Spinneys Dubai 92 Cycle Challenge, the longest standing amateur cycling race in the region

ŠKODA is proud to be the first official automotive race partner of the Spinneys Dubai 92 Cycle Challenge this year and is all revved up to welcome 3,500 cyclists in the 10th edition of the cycling race.

Since the start of the build-up rides in September, ŠKODA has rolled out a number of interactive activities and will continue to host additional activations during the Junior Race (2.5km, 15km, 30km) on 28th November and the main Cycle Challenge (100km) on 29th November, both taking place at the Dubai Autodrome.

At the two-day event, ŠKODA will showcase its best-in-class car models including Fabia, Octavia, Superb and Kodiaq as well as offer different engaging activities with fun competitions at their pavilion.
Participants and cycling enthusiasts alike can enjoy a rally simulator and spinning bike, with prizes for people with best-ranked timings. Other activities include a photo booth and face painting for kids, making it a fun day out for the whole family. Guests can also join the conversation online using the #SKODAcyclingDubai hashtag, and see the real-time Facebook and Instagram posts on an interactive wall at the event.

Andy Schleck, ŠKODA cycling ambassador and the winner of 2010 Tour de France will be present at the event to perform an exhibition ride on both 28th and 29th November.

Through its Golden Key competition, ŠKODA will also award a car for a year sponsored by Ali & Sons, ŠKODA’s distribution partner in the UAE, which will be presented by Andy. One raffle winner from among cyclists and radio and social media entries, will possess a golden key that can open the giveaway car, concluding the last day of the cycling event.

Andy will be awarding a ŠKODA kid’s bike to the best entry at the ‘Design Your Jersey’ contest that took place during a school tour in October. The winning design will also be printed on jerseys for the students, as part of the prize.

The renowned Czech car manufacturer, ŠKODA, started off by producing bicycles in 1895, underpinning its active contribution to the cycling scene worldwide.
