Williams & Mansberg Handle the BMW perfectly

The BMW Members and Guest Social at SGSC saw the return of two of its most popular formats, Better Ball on the front nine and a Texas Scramble on the back Nine. In the mornings play the duo of Namir Al Naimi & Hassan Yazdi joined forces to produce a well-structured Medal score of 33 for the Better ball format. In the afternoon their score was bettered by four by a score of 29 from the regular pairing of Roy Holmes & Roger Leadeboer. The Texas Scrablem back nine format in the morning saw the introduction and success of a new pairing in the BMW Gareth Pearce & Paul Howarth on a score of 34. After the game the said how they’d had enjoyed the different formats and were keen to one day come back and take the overall title. In the afternoon’s play the Texas Scramble was taken by inform duo clive Piper & Andrew Thom on a score of 30.

The combine format winner’s competition couldn’t have been closer, Brian Williams & Peter Mansberg had been out in the morning’s play and set the bar with an impressive 64. In the afternoon play the pairing of Normandy Federrico & Le Jan Leyble also recorded a score of 64. The tie would be decided on a scorecard countback. Normandy & Le Jan had had an incredible front nine score of 30 but couldn’t quite match this performance in the back nine, they posted a Texas Scramble score of 34. In contrast to this Brain & Peter success really did come down to the Back nine as the posted a score of 31 and were able to win the overall competition based on this performance.
