Celebrating the year of giving, Salaam Namaste UAE Season 2 reaches out to showcase more inspirational stories of people in the UAE. This week host Tarana Raja meets people from different parts of society who have made UAE their home in the ‘Bade Dilwale’ segment. In the ‘Dil Se Shukran’ segment she interacts with blue collared workers to surprise them with gifts for their hard work and sincerity and the ‘Choti Si Asha’ segments features two UAE residents as their dreams come true!
On 17th June, we came to know the story of Neena Raina and Arti Khazanchi who met at a driving school in the UAE and found their calling, which led them to set up Tender Hearts Arena in 2015 for children with special needs. Tarana Raja interviewed them on Salaam Namaste UAE 2 to learn more about this facility which enables children to improve their social and behavioral skills. Recreational activities like singing, dancing, art, karate build up the children’s morale and make a big difference in their lives!
The Salaam Namaste UAE team spent some fun time with blue collar workers who are associated with SmartLife Foundation. This organization assists workers in the UAE by enhancing their communication skills and special talents. These workers are dedicated towards learning English to better their own futures. In the ‘Ek Choti Si Asha’ segment Tarana fulfilled Deeksha’s wish of pursuing her passion for dance and fitness by giving her a free 6-month membership from Mad About Dance (M.A.D.) Institute.
In the next segment, 18-year old Saima Khan is interviewed on her initiative StepUp Dubai. She has given youngsters below the age of 18 a platform to volunteer for charitable organizations in the UAE, bringing about a positive change. In the ‘Dil Se Shukran’ segment, Tarana surprised restaurant delivery boys in the UAE with a fine-dining meal at Signature by Sanjeev Kapoor in Melia Dubai. These delivery boys were elated, as their hard work was recognized and it put a lasting smile on their faces. In the last segment ‘Ek Choti Si Asha’, a budding model was gifted with a portfolio shoot to transform her modeling passion into her profession.
