Emanating from its solid commitment to providing all kinds of support to its incubated projects, NAMA Center, one of Qatar Foundation for Social Work’s (QFSW) centers, is participating in the sixth edition of “Bashair Al Rahmaa” (good news of mercy) festival held under the slogan “be kind”, which kicked off last month and extends till the end of June. The festival was launched by Sheikh Thani bin Abdullah Foundation for Humanitarian Services (RAF), in partnership with Qatar National Convention Center and Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry, under the supervision of the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs.
During the festival, NAMA Center was honored for its humanitarian work and outstanding contribution to supporting emerging projects.
On this occasion, Mrs. Maryam Bint Abdullatif Al-Mannai, the Acting Executive Manager at NAMA Center, said:“I would like to thank Sheikh Thani bin Abdullah Foundation for Humanitarian Services (RAF) as well as all those involved in organizing this festival and making it a success for their recognition of NAMA Center. Our participation in ‘Bashair Al Rahmaa’ (good news of mercy) festival is part of our continuous efforts to meet the needs of the entrepreneurs of emerging projects incubated by NAMA Center and provide them with all the support so that owners of these projects can carry out their activities without incurring any financial costs that may burden them or hinder them from achieving their fundamental goal. This participation will certainly help entrepreneurs achieve success, which in turn leads to developing the society, diversifying the national economy and effectively contributing to the implementation of Qatar National Vision 2030.”
She added: “Our main mission at ‘Bashair Al Rahmaa’ exhibition is to enable our incubated projects that avail of the Center’s services to gain experience in the local market and carry out their marketing activities in a way that enables us to monitor and evaluate their performance. This helps us identify points of strengths and shortcomings and provide the projects’ owners with appropriate advice in order to help them develop their products and improve their performance.”
As part of the exhibition, NAMA Center offers 6 kiosks for the projects’ owners to showcase, sell and market their products and interact with the public. Products offered include food, perfumes and incense, traditional clothing and woolen dolls.
‘Bashair Al Rahmaa’ is considered the ideal platform to support young entrepreneurs and ambitious Qatari youth. It raises awareness of entrepreneurship among youth and promotes the development of human capital, while at the same time leading to the diversification, prosperity and sustainability of the Qatari economy.
‘Bashair Al Rahmaa’ festival also sheds light on the status of entrepreneurship in Qatar and introduces the largest number of community members to NAMA’s unique services for innovative small and medium-sized entrepreneurs incubated by the Center, promoting their projects and products.
