Iconix Brand Group, Inc., the world’s premier brand management company with a diverse portfolio of more than 30 consumer brands, announces today that the company has opened its first office in Dubai.
The new Dubai base is intended to drive global expansion for Iconix in the Middle East and North Africa, as well as support existing strategic alliances in the region.
Based in Jumeirah Lakes Towers, the office of Iconix MENA Limited will focus on identifying new partnership opportunities while also providing support for existing retail relationships with powerhouses such as Landmark Group, Al-Futtaim Group, Cartoon Fashion Ltd., and ByCop SAL Company Ltd.
Commenting on the announcement, Abdulla Aljarrah, General Manager of Iconix MENA Limited, stated: “The opening of our first regional office in Dubai represents a major investment by Iconix to accelerate sales for our business partners and enhance the performance of our brands in the Middle East and North Africa.”
“By working closely with our partners in the region, Iconix has developed unique insights into local markets and we are now perfectly positioned to grow our business by differentiating ourselves through even stronger brand management and partner engagement. Our goal is to maximize the presence of Iconix brands by working exclusively with local partners and capitalising on the increasing popularity of online shopping in the region.”
Anchored by the powerful business platforms of Lee Cooper, Cannon and Umbro, Iconix is enthusiastic about the prospects to expand its business across the MENA region for a broad range of brands within its portfolio.
“Expansion in the MENA region from the dynamic business hub of Dubai forms an important part of our drive to create and develop global brands like Starter, Danskin, Mossimo and Ocean Pacific,” said Willy Burkhardt, President of Iconix International.
“For us, Dubai’s position as a pulsating trend setter in the region highlights the outstanding possibilities we also see for our premium athletic brand, Starter, as well as Danskin, which is a leading maker of dance and activewear, and the vibrant lifestyle brand of Joe Boxer, among others.”
