SGSC member Hassan Yazdi was victorious over the day’s field with a 74, two over Par on the day. On the back nine the birdies were harder come by but Hassan still managed one further net eagle on the 15th Hole to assist him to a two over par total, clinching the lead by a single stroke. Over the course of the season there has been 265 rounds of golf played in the Malaysia Truly Asia Net and Gross Order of Merit supported by Emirates to reach the season ending climax with the top three net and leading gross from the order of merit winning a trip to Kuala Lumpur in August courtesy of our sponsors.  Going into the day’s final Order of Merit qualifying round, eight players stood a chance of booking their seat on the plane to Kuala Lumpur in August, including leader MY Cho, Namir Al Naimi and Hassan Yadzi. 15 points divided the top three with MY Cho topping the pack going into the final round. Following the round eighth’s play Hassan took full points and moved into top position in the table, taking the Net Championship for 2017. The battle for second place was unbelievably close with 0.2 of a point dividing the two competitors. MY Cho was just able to hold onto second place despite her disappointing close in the final round. Namir picked up third place in the Net and also found himself at the top of the gross division after he dominated round eights gross division, beating out Nathen Fisher & Mike Robson to become the 2017 Gross Champion.
