FOOD DRIVES AND IFTARS WITH A TWIST AT COYA DUBAI

The year of giving sets the tone as we enter the holy month. This Ramadan, COYA Dubai continues its third year of association with the Humanitarian society* to run a food drive and introduces their very own take on the iftar menu for the first time ever.

Working with the Humanitarian society*, COYA Dubai’s employees, volunteers and even guests prepare, package and deliver delightful dishes from COYA Dubai’s kitchen to each individual employee at the labor camps across Dubai. This year, COYA Dubai aims to reach 1,500 compared to the 800 distributed the previous year. Open to all guests that would like to come down and lend a hand, the drives will take place every Sunday and Wednesday as of the 28th of May.

Due to popular demand, from 7pm to 8pm during the month of Ramadan, COYA Dubai will be serving up signature iftar menus with a Peruvian twist. Especially designed for the outlet, COYA Middle East’s award-winning Executive Chef, Benjamin Wan delivers a sumptuous, 4-course menu to break your fast.

The experience starts with dates and a selection of soups to start with such as the corn gazpacho, peruvian bean soup or cream of pumpkin. As guests settle in and prepare to work their taste buds through Latin America, an envious selection of starters make their way to the table. Starting with popular favourites like Guacamole and crocantes, Beetroot Causas, Nikkei-inspired dishes including edamames and avocado makis, to COYA’s signature salads including the corn salad and a fresh, spinach salad, the outlet ensures you start iftar off right with not a moment to spare.

Diversifying the culinary experience is the arrival of the mixed prawn, mushroom and chicken anticucho selection (grilled skewers) along with the outlet’s famed stir-fried quinoa. with something for everyone. Mains come with a vast selection and guests are offered a robust selection; with everything from a meaty Spicy beef sirloin to a vegetarian Papa mushroom (Mushroom and potato hotpot) to suit any dietary requirements. The culinary experience ends on a blissful note as COYA Dubai’s special yearly dessert makes another appearance; the seasonal Ramadan Sticky date toffee cake is complemented with a camel milk ice cream and leave newcomers and experienced COYA diners with an experience they won’t forget.
