Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority (DSOA), the regulatory body for Dubai Silicon Oasis (DSO), the integrated free zone technology park, in collaboration with Dubai Health Authority (DHA), organized a health campaign that included a day-long blood donation drive at the DSOA headquarters.
DSOA’s staff and employees of companies operating at the technology park participated in the campaign that ran for the 11thconsecutive year. This year’s drive helped in the collection of 131 units of blood.
Haidar Ali, Vice President for People Happiness and Innovation at DSOA, said: “We are deeply grateful to the Dubai Health Authority for their sustained support in organizing our blood donation campaign year after year. In addition to raising awareness about the importance of life-saving humanitarian initiatives and activities, the drive encourages residents and business partners within our integrated park to donate blood in large numbers. We also thank all our staff, business partners, and stakeholders for their ever-increasing participation that reflects their commitment to supporting socially responsible behavior.”
He added: “Through this 11thconsecutive campaign, DSOA reiterates its dedication to its CSR strategy that is built around three main pillars: Community, Human Capital, and Environment.”
On May 1, 2017, in line with the Year of Giving, announced by the UAE President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, DSOA marked Labor Day with the distribution of free lunch meals to all laborers on its premises.
