May the 4th be with you! Families across the UAE are invited to celebrate Star Wars Day on the 4th May with two special free-of-charge events
A bespoke LEGO activation in Toy Store, Mall of the Emirates Head to a galaxy not so far, far away this May with a LEGO Star Wars event at the Toy Store, Mall of the Emirates on May 4th, 5th and 6th. Join two LEGO-certified professionals from Bright Brick in creating a large 1.5m X 1.5m LEGO Star Wars Mosaic build and take part in the “Make and Take” activity to learn how to build your very own X-Wing spaceship! All children attending the sessions will receive a LEGO Star Wars giveaway and are invited to come dressed as their favorite Star Wars characters.This is one event you don’t want to miss. These LEGO Star Wars events consist of two sessions per day; May 4th at 5PM and 8PM, and on May 5th and 6th at 3PM and 6PM.
A children’s Star Wars book reading event at Borders, Dubai Festival City Borders Dubai Festival City will welcome little ones to a special live book reading, during which enjoy excerpts of the famous books read in English from 4.30pm-6pm on May 4th and May 5th. Each child attending will be gifted a free book and other Star Wars goodies, and are encouraged to come dressed as their favourite Star Wars characters. Star Wars Day / May the 4th be with you is celebrated around the world on May the 4th each year in celebration of the iconic movie franchise created in 1977 by George Lucas. The date was chosen by fans for the pun on the catchphrase “May the Force be with you”. The unofficial holiday allows Star Wars fans to celebrate their love for the films in many wacky ways, including special events at Walt Disney World Florida, cosplay as iconic characters such as Chewbacca, the Stormtroopers, Han Solo and Princess Leia. Both the Mall of the Emirates and Dubai Festival City events are free to enter and no prior booking is needed. Please note spaces are limited at both events and not all attendees are guaranteed space or free gifts
