- Careem beats the market with a new travel hack for customers, using geo-linked locations
Careem, the Dubai-based private ride-hailing app, has launched a first of its kind service ‘Careem On Call’, using geo-linked locations across Dubai. The introduction allows users to book a Careem car in five seconds without downloading the app or setting up an account.
Careem On Call targets people who are relocating or travelling to Dubai and aren’t familiar with the convenient world of ride-hailing apps. In addition, the new service prides itself in being a business community service helping companies overcome issues relating to transport, to and from the location. Often simple tasks like ordering taxis and parking can prove problematic, reception desks tend to have inundated requests to book taxis which in itself can result to a tiresome activity when explaining their location as well as co-ordinating the booking.
With its use of smart technology IVR and geo-link, the process of ordering a Careem On Call couldn’t be more simple. The customer dials in the unique number which is geo-linked to the location, then simply presses one, which is when a car is automatically despatched to the exact place. The customer receives an SMS with the Captain’s registration plate and his mobile number so the two parties can easily identify each other. As Careem on Call is an app-free service customers must be prepared to pay the captain with cash.
Bassel Alnahlaoui, Vice President of Business Development and Government Relations comments “Careem On Call has come about from an organic demand we see from small, medium and even large-scale businesses who have parking challenges for their guests or where people struggle to get a car home from. We set it up to provide a service that can help relieve reception staff from having to book cars and having the tiresome task of explaining their location to a driver, so that their guests can be self-sufficient and book a ride on their own terms. Careem On Call is very much a community service, so no matter how small or large your business might be, we’d love to hear from you if you think you can benefit from having your own unique line.
The latest Careem service is another way for us to help simplify people’s lives and enable to get around town more easily. For those who are new to ride hailing apps, or passing through as tourists, our On Call service provides them with a quick and easy way to book a limo on demand.”
Yasmin Khammash, the General Manager of Train SF states that “It’s a great service, fast and reliable and we are extremely happy to provide this to our customers, in an area where it’s hard to get taxi’s this service has really helped.”
Laura Davies, Head of Marketing at Inner Fight, comments “Careem On Call has been great for our members! It’s worked out (excuse the pun) perfectly for clients who need an easy and reliable option to get home after a hard work out. We are very happy Crossfitter customers.”
The Careem On Call network is now live and spread wide across Dubai with over 100 locations already. From large scale venues like Dubai World Trade Centre, Bajeel Hospital, Zero Gravity and Nikki Beach, through to far out destinations like the Farm in Al Barai and Al Qudra Trek Bike centre through to cafes and gyms in Al Quoz (Tom & Serg, Café Rider and Inner Fight and Fitness HQ). Even those visiting car service centres such as Audi and Porsche will also be able to use the service, no business is too small for Careem to offer the service to.
If you’re a company looking to set up a unique On Call number for your outlet the service is free, educate your staff on how to promote it to your customers and enjoy the service. For more details contact Careem on Call at firstname.lastname@example.org.Email This Post
