BEWARE THE INJURED GOLFER IN THE CENTRO SHARJAH STABLEFORD

For the summer months the Centro Sharjah Centro midweek competition has been changed to a Stableford competition, enabling a quicker format of golf to combat the ever raising heat of the summer months. This alternation has been very well received as a season’s record number of entries turned out for the event, making the competition stiffer than ever.

On his return to the golf course following surgery Purna Sharma came back refreshed and re-energized. He was able to post 17 Stableford points after a disappointing bogy on the first hole, of which he never recovered the points. The day’s first prize didn’t come easy to Purna as he was pushed all the way by playing partner Sinar Suraj, who was also able to post 17 Stableford points for the 9 holes but was beating in the end by Purna’s better final six holes. Sinar wasn’t to go home empty handed as he collected the runner up prize of a dinner for two at C.Taste Restaurant & a pro shop Voucher.

Taking home the Gross prize for this week was club personality Deepak Neupane. Deepak posted 14 Gross Stableford points on the evening and fought off competition from Namir Al Naimi & Tony Bang. Deepak took him the prize of a lunch for two at C. Taste Restaurant & a pro shop Voucher, all in an evening’s work.
