Over 80 super luxury brands will be seen at 2nd edition of Modern Woman Show this weekend

  • AW Rostamani Lifestyle to launch their exclusive Ramadan Collection at the exhibition
  • Three-day event from 20th-22nd April at Dubai World Trade Centre; visitor footfall of over 5000 expected at the show.
  • Global spending on modest fashion set to reach $484 billion by 2019; currently UAE stands second at $22.5 billion

The ultra-luxurious lifestyle exhibition, Modern Woman Show will have an impressive lineup of over 80 exhibitors showcasing a diverse range of top fashion apparel brands, premium jewellery & perfumes, niche homeware, furniture and baby products. The unique shopping rendezvous starts this Thursday, 20th April and will be on for three-days until 22nd April, 2017. The exhibition is being held at Za’abeel Hall 4, Dubai World Trade Center.

Open to visitors from 12:00 noon – 10:00 p.m. every day, the event organizers are expecting a footfall of over 5000 over the three days.

“The modest wear market is gaining a lot of momentum and growing. In fact, we are even seeing mainstream retailers and hi-end fashion labels such as DKNY, D&G , Tommy Hilfiger amongst others launching special collections to appeal to this market segment. Through our exhibition, we want to cater to the requirements of modest fashion just ahead of the Ramadan and Eid season. We have over 80 exhibitors that include more than 25 designers – local, regional as well as international who will be presenting contemporary, chic, elegant, sophisticated fashion labels in an exclusive setting of our exquisite show”, said Ms.  Reem Al Zarouni, Emirati entrepreneur and co-organizer of Modern Woman Show.

Covering up doesn’t mean you cannot be stylish and that’s what we want to showcase through our exhibition. Though there are many different niche brands from homeware, perfumes, confectionary, accessories, chocolates and jewellery being featured at the event, local and international designers showcasing modest fashion trends will be the highlight”, added Ms. Reem.

The luxurious brands being exhibited at the show include the likes of A W Rostamani Lifestyle, Aisha Baker, Lootah Perfumes, Chosen By Fluke, The Trunk Store, Kaizer Leather and Accessories, Wed Perfumes etc. whereas the designer lineup includes the popular local names such as Hessa Falasi, Latifa Al Shamsi, Saray & Valley, Yasmin Megerisi of House of Meena, Das Collection among many others. Sakina Ahmed, Rajdeep Ranawat, Sunaina Khera, Susan Zhuang, Harry Ibrahim, Hijab Fashion, Ziva, Bahiya Couture will represent the international labels from India, Indonesia, KSA, South Africa and Bahrain respectively.

AW Rostamani Lifestyle, a major player in the fashion, jewelry and homeware sectors regionally, with a portfolio that includes numerous leading international and regional brands including Georg Jensen, Angels, Vhernier and Apartment 51, will be seen launching its Ramadan Collection at the show.

Leading perfumery giant in the UAE Lootah Perfumes will be showcasing its unique oud, fragrant oils, perfumes, incenses & fragrant and deluxe sets at the event.

According to Reuters and Dinar Standard, the global spending on modest fashion is expected to reach $484 billion by 2019 and Dubai has become an important player in promoting modest fashion trade – both from retail shopping to design and production. For now, Turkey leads the modest fashion industry at $39.3 billion with UAE coming second at $22.5 billion, followed by Indonesia at $18.8 billion. Iran ranks fourth with $17.1 billion.
