For the first time, 2 MRI machines would be available in any government hospital and that would be the Lahore General Hospital where one more latest 3 TESLA MRI MRI machine has been fixed in Punjab Institute of Neuro Sciences and has started working, as well. It was disclosed by Principal Post Graduate Medical Institute Prof. Dr. Ghias un Nabi Tayyab in a special meet at General Hospital. He told that by the special grant of Rs. 26 crore given by the Chief Minister Punjab, this facility was possible and now patients would not have to wait long especially poor and deserving persons. He said that this machine is one of its own kind in any government hospital which would be helpful for accidental and other patients of General Hospital. Prof. Ghias un Nabi Tayyab said that to provide maximum and latest facility to the patients is our top most priority and efforts were being made in this regard. He lauded this step and said that General Hospital would continue its efforts in the right direction and further improvements would be made as directed by the Chief Minister Mohammad Shahbaz Sharif.
Talking in this regard, Medical Superintendent of General Hospital, Dr. Ghulam Sabir that state of the art facilities were being added in General Hospital and Punjab Government was taking special steps in this regard. He expressed satisfaction on the working of another MRI machine and said that now patients would be getting this facility at the earliest and they would not have to wait for long. Principal and Medical Superintendent also visited the site and inspected newly working MRI Machine and talked the patients there also.
